We are happy to annonce that NSERC has funded out Alliance proposal entitled “Human-AI interactions in real-world complex uncertain environments using a comprehensive reinforcement learning framework!”. This work is in collaboration with Matthew Guzdial, AI Redefined, Thales Canada, and JACOBB.
CFAIR will fund an exploratory grant using RL in small-molecule drug discovery. IRLL will be working with Sarath Chandar (Polytechnique Montréal) to further develop 99AndBeyond’s research. You can read more in their accepted ICML-20 paper. Grant announcement
Sriram and Matt recently gave a virtual talk for Aggregate Intellect on their AAMAS-20 paper in mean field reinforcement learning. This talk targets professionals interested in using RL in the real world. Video, Paper
Matt gave a speculative talk at the RLAI group meeting on why it may be hard for companies to deploy RL in practice, and what we could do in order to encourage better adoption. Video
